Abstract
A series of self propulsion model tests of pushboat with four different kinds of ratio between propeller diameter and ship draft were carried out in the towing tank of WUWTE. The thrust of un-integral nozzle behind hull was measured during self-propulsion tests. It has been found that the proportion of the thrust of propeller inside the nozzle to the thrust of nozzle behind hull is different from that in open water. The influence of pushboats with large ratio D/T on the ducted propeller performance is given and the different methods dealing with the thrust of un-integral nozzle are compared.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
