Abstract
This paper examines mobile communication systems for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). It divides communications technology into four major modes: broadcasting, wide area two-way communications road vehicle communications, and vehicle-to-vehicle communications. The authors describe how the Vehicle Information and Communication System (VICS) has made use of FM multiplex broadcasting , radio beacons, and optical beacons. The authors also discuss global standardization efforts that are taking placing.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
