Abstract

A German supervisory organisation which took part in the manufacture, appraisement and construction supervision of several submarine pipelines for natural gas gives a report on its special experiences, concerning the licensing procedure and pipelaying techniques, material, welding and testing questions, special problems with corrosion protection and concrete weight coating against the buoyancy force.
