Abstract
The separation facility for reprocessing radioactive fuel at the Allied-General Nuclear Services plant near Barnswell, S. C. was reported near completion. It was designed to process light water reactor fuel at a nominal rate of 5 metric ton/day of uranium. The solvent extraction process, the concentration processes, and the waste tank and vault were described. The construction requirements and quality assurance provisions were discussed. (DDA)
