Abstract

The paper deals with the test of three shallow draft twin-skeg ship models block coefficient about 0.8 by keeping the block coefficient, length and displacement unchanged and varying the beam-draft ratio three geometrically similar hull forms were derived. These ships forms have good resistance and propulsion performance and evenly distributed wake field. Diagrams for estimating the resistance, propulsion factors and some wake test data are presented. Based on these data, the hull lines, resistance and propulsion factors can easily be obtained.
