Abstract

To localize corroding reinforcement in concrete members visual or sonic tests are not sufficient, because beginning corrosion cannot be recognized by these methods. Therefore it is more useful to determine corrosion areas by electrochemical potential difference measurements. Some efficient measuring equipment has been developed for extensive measurements. The reliability of the potential difference measurement method could be confirmed successfully by practical use. (A) For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 850834.
