Abstract
The aim of this study is to develop and evaluate a combination unit used for seedbed preparation for sugar beet crop. The combination unit tested and compared with traditional methods used for seedbed preparation. The best results obtained by the combination unit for sugar beet crop were at 2.34 km/h. forward speed, 22.40% soil moisture content and 26 cm plowing depth. Also the combination unit can operate for crops which don’t need high plowing depth, with less consumption in power and fuel with high effective field capacity at 14 cm plowing depth, 4.46 km/h and 22.40% soil moisture content.
