Abstract
Traffic and the environment have many things in common. A reduction of motorised traffic means a decrease in noise nuisance, emission of harmful gases and energy use. In addition, a good traffic plan means an increase in liveability and traffic safety and a strengthening of the urban structure. The national Sustainable Urban Planning Package supports traffic experts in taking decisions related to sustainable urban planning. The new package is a compilation of all currently available knowledge and experience in the area of sustainable urban planning.
