Abstract
This paper discusses the following topics: 1. the organization of the complex field of road transport safety in the road safety policy circle; 2. the development of the methodologies to avoid dangerous design policies and to detect the existing infrastructure deficiencies; 3. the adaptation of the road infrastructure to our abilities and limitations.
