Abstract
The diesel engine produces more useful work per unit of fuel energy than any other engine. However, the rapid increase in use of diesels has created a growth in demand which may become difficult to meet. This publication is a practical guide to ways in which diesel fuel can be saved through vehicle design, maintenance, operations and driver related factors.
