Abstract

The Trapeze system for the non-scheduled demand response transport with its various modules allows a cost-effective complement or even alternatives to the classic fix-line operation. Examples in Germany, Luxembourg and many other regions of the world prove it: the high service quality of the non-scheduled transport leads to a significant more passengers and therefore to a better cost recovery. Telematics and intelligent, automatic scheduling can make it. Successful applications include the most cost-efficient school transport with a fast ride home, really improved seniors' and youth mobility with rapid transportation, particularly in rural areas. Trapeze offers comprehensive solutions for all kind of Demand Response Systems in the region and in the city: from customer management and travel booking via telephone or Internet to optimized planning and scheduling. Government and transport companies can make transport services more attractive and customer-friendly and optimize the resources. New to the IT-Trans is the support of smart phones (Android, iPhone, Rim) booking and handling of demand response service, and real-time scheduling, depending on the destination of the passengers
