INFRASTRUCTURE AND REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT: A MULTIDIMENSIONAL POLICY ANALYSIS. IN: TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE

Abstract

The focus of this paper is on the role of infrastructure in a regional development strategy. A multidimensional typological analysis of regional development is provided by using statistical techniques (cluster and scaling methods) and a so-called quasi-production function. The empirical significance of the analysis is clarified by use of a case study in the Netherlands.
