Abstract
The paper introduces the philosophy put forward in the National Association of Australian State Road Authorities interim guide to the geometric design of rural roads (1980) for selection of speed values for the design of a section of road. It outlines the methods by which the selected speed value is translated into sight distance requirements and applied in the selection of alignment and profile elements of the design (a).
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
