Abstract

This is a series of articles discussing various aspects regarding the implementation of road pricing schemes in the U.K. The first article looks at the political implications of potential road pricing project in Bristol, U.K. The second article discusses the technical aspects of road pricing, with focus on interoperability. A third article describes a modest road pricing scheme that has been installed in Durham. It discusses the benefits of the scheme, the process for introducing the toll and how the toll was determined, as well as the automatic traffic bollard selected to control vehicular traffic
