Abstract

Material about drink driving is presented for use in the establishment of a drink driving education materials project jointly funded by government departments in New South Wales, Australia, for implementation in high schools progressively through 1981 and 1982. The material covers the effects of alcohol on driving, the young driver's exposure and casualty rates, the need to break the claim of events leading to a crash casualty, penalties and often deterrents, and the role of mass media education programmes (a).
