Abstract
This article reports on the developments in the field of shotcrete construction using the roll-over shutterbelt system with which a continuous layer of shotcrete can be applied evenly to all linings. This development called for new solutions in the field of concrete technology. During the experiments, shotcrete layers of thicknesses up to 300 mm were achieved in the roof. As a result, tunnel construction technology has been provided with a method for the application of shotcrete that prevents rebounding and spray dust and improves shotcrete quality and the working conditions for the nozzle operators.
