MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE AUDITS: A NEW TOOL FOR TRANSIT MANAGEMENT

Abstract

This article describes the transit management performance audit process developed at the Indiana University's Institute for Urban Transportation under U.S. Department of Transportation sponsorship. Performance audits have been conducted by IUT for transit properties in several small to medium sized midwestern cities based on standardized procedures.
