Abstract

Cataloguers and technical-processing professors should find these conversion tables between Library of Congress and Dewey classification systems useful. Arranged in two sections, LC to Dewey and Dewey to LC, this guide organises information into three columns: LC call numbers, Dewey call numbers and descriptive terms that identify subject area of the work. The tables, available in print and as an electronic database, will save both energy and countless hours of searching.
