Abstract
A compost experiment using swine manure and rice bran was conducted to study the change of compost maturity indices. The results showed that T-value,NH+4-N/NO-3-N ratio were reduced to some degree after 56 days′ composting and GI was raised apparently.Correlation analysis showed that T-value as well as NH+4-N/NO-3-N ratio was significantly negative to GI.The result of pot experiment using different maturity composts to cultivate sweet pepper showed that the biomasses of pepper adding 30 day or 55 day fermentation compost were significantly higher than those of 0 day,7 day,14 day treatments;but there was no significant difference between the biomass of pepper adding 30 day fermentation compost and that of adding 55 day fermentation compost.35 day fermentation compost′s maturity parameters were chosen as maturity indices. The maturity indices were GI≥45%,T≤0.65 and NH+4-N/NO-3-N ratio≤0.60.
