Abstract

Waterlogging is a significant natural disaster that occurs in wide areas all around the world. It has caused serious crops injuries and yield declines and its severity even resulted in loss of all the standing crops. In the present arti-cle,changes in various growth indices and mechanism of crop waterlogging tolerance have been discussed which is gener-ally based on several morphological and physio-biochemical properties. Some molecular aspects of waterlogging tolerance and the metabolic changes caused by waterlogging have also been discussed.
