Abstract

The article presents the influence of some parameters on features of the structural system of cable-stayed bridges. Assuming that the stiffening girder has been constructed with concrete, i.e. the ratio between live and dead load is small, the non linear system due to the sagging effect of stay cables were neglected in this analysis. The single plane static analysis has been performed for the evaluation of sectional forces. The radiating multi-stay self-anchored cable system has been investigated. Basic geometrical parameters have been varied for two dispositions: a) the ratio between the pylon height and central span length, and b) the ratio between side and central span length. The influence of the connection between the pylon and stiffening girder has also been analyzed. The results of the analysis are shown in diagrams with respective conclusions.
