Abstract

The aim of this conference was to discuss the actual administrative and organizational conditions and the methods used in physical and traffic planning from the point of view of the demand in the coming years. The following topics were discussed: Traffic Policy Anouncements in Relation to Physical and Traffic Planning in the Cities (Soefteland, D and Bramsvik, NE); Central Authorities' Directions for Traffic Planning in Urban Areas (Hvidtfeldt, H); The Hold Back of the Car Traffic (Guttormsen, K); The Priority Road (Lundebrekke, E); Traffic Planning in the Light of Economic Development (Ahlstroem, O); Methods of Traffic Planning in Relation to Physical Planning (Lyly, S and Nordqvist, S); Possibilities and Restraints in the Interaction Between Physical and Traffic Planning (Schioett, O and Stabek, K); the Planning Process (Grimsbo, O).
