Abstract
Public transport has currently reached far beyond city limits, particularly in Amsterdam. As such, the public transport in and around Amsterdam operated at three levels. First the city is linked to the national and international network of Dutch Rail. On regional scale a combination of metro, intercity buslines and regional train services operates. The third, local level of public transport consists of a combination of tram, bus and ferry-services.
