Abstract
Project financing is increasingly emerging as the preferred alternative to conventional methods of financing transportation infrastructure and other large-scale transport-related projects worldwide. It requires a carefully engineered financing mix, as illustrated by this article, which provides a brief overview of sources and types of financing transportation infrastructure projects, as well as related challenges.
