Abstract

The purposes of this paper are to describe the changes in road traffic conditions and the tendency of road traffic accidents, and to discuss several noticeable features in road traffic accidents over the ten-year period from 1996 to 2005 in (South) Korea. Similar analysis and discussion for earlier years (1965-1985, 1990-1995) can be referred to in the previous paper published in this journal (Cho*, Lee**). Moreover, this paper indicates some valid issues for standardization of statistics related to road traffic accidents and conditions. (A)
