Abstract
The author gives semantic origin of term mobbing /and bullying/ and notion of mobbing at work, analyses the causes and types of horizontal and vertical mobbing. The paper deals with the effects of mobbing at work on health condition of employee - victim of the mobbing, as well on violation of right of privacy and dignity of employee. Some results of the research in social physiology are given for several EU countries. Particular attention is given to prevention of mobbing as well as on comparative legal regulation of mobbing in EU countries and in USA, EU Framework collective agreement on job-related stress /2004/, including analysis of right to whistleblower and punitive damage as legal sanction. The author gives some proposals for legal reform on mobbing in Serbia, and asks for social dialogue and collective agreements dealing with issue of mobbing.
