Abstract

The nutrients in the soil and nutrient uptake by plants are discussed in terms of the mechanisms by which the nutrients are accumulated by the plants. Also discussed are the effects of soil properties on nutrients in the soil, and soil testing methods for determining crop nutrient requirements.
