Abstract

The authors describe methods for the synthesis of the oligobutadienyl complexes of titanium, cobalt, manganese, and nickel and give results of the infrared spectra and catalytic behavior of the complexes in the polymerization of hydrocarbons. Hypothetical molecular structures, valence states, thermal stabilities, and bond properties of the derivatives are discussed.
