Abstract

Paper to be presented at the New York APS Meeting, January 24-27, 1962. Calcuiations were made to find optical model parameters which would fit the differential cross section for neutron scattering by zirconium. The contribution of the compound process to the elastic scattering was also calculated. It is concluded that there is an isotopic effect in natural zirconium and that it may be necessary to perform elastic scat tering measurements on separated zirconium isotopes. (D.L.C.)
