Abstract
In this paper, a generalized (G′/G)-expansion method is used to seek more general exact solutions of the fifth-order Sawada-Kotera equation and the general Gardner equation. As a result, the traveling wave solutions with three arbitrary functions are obtained including hyperbolic function solutions, trigonometric function solutions and rational solutions. The method appears to be easier and faster by means of some mathematical software.
