Abstract

The resonance-enhanced multi-photon ionization (REMPI) spectrum of boron difluoride has been observed, $BF_{2}$ is generated by sequential reactions of atomic and molecular fluorine with diborane in a flow reactor. Progressions in $\\nu_{2}$ (bend) are evident, as expected from ab initio, calculations. In addition, the adiabatic ionization potential has been calculated to be $8.66 \\pm 0.05 $ eV.
