Abstract

. The progression of NEC is linked with the onset of ferroptosis. Our cellular-level analysis of lipid peroxide and iron ion concentrations revealed that DOPE significantly reduces the indicators of ferroptosis, while also modulating the expression of pivotal ferroptosis-associated factors, including SLC7A11, GPX4, and ACSL4. Hence, this research on DOPE is expected to provide novel insights into the bioactive lipids present in HBM.
