Abstract

This is a global soil autotrophic respiration (RA) product from 1981 to 2017 (Forest.Ra.rf.10Fold.CV.720.360.1981.2017.nc) based on field observations and environmental variables using random forest in forest ecosystems, which was expressed as g C m-2 yr-1. The RA product has a spatial resolution of 0.5 degree and a temporal resolution of one year. This is a global carbon allocation (unitless) product product from 1981 to 2017 (Ra.allocation.1982.2015.nc) calculated as a fraction of soil autotrophic respiration and gross primary production in forest ecosystems. The carbon allocation product has a spatial resolution of 0.5 degree and a temporal resolution of one year. The files with ".R" mean the R code used to produce soil autotrophic respiration, carbon allocation and further analysis, e.g. trend analysis. Forest_Ra.csv is the dataset of field observations of soil autotrophic respiration in forest ecosystems.
