Antirealism, (Supra–)Realism and Idealization

Abstract
The paper attempts to find a way out from the famous alternative: realism vs. antirealism in philosophy of science. A metaphysical assumption shared by the two competing parties is identified and replaced with another view which is a strengthening of ontological possibilism. This view allows to propose the supra-realist thesis about the status of scientific theory. A natural application of it is understanding the place of idealization in science.
