Abstract

The article presents modern literature data on the effectiveness of the use of sialography in normal and in such pathologies as additional ducts of the salivary glands, sialolithiasis, salivary gland stenosis, sialodochitis, sialadenitis, Sjogren's syndrome and tumors of the salivary glands. Descriptions of the diagnostic picture during sialography in various pathological conditions are given, the possibility of using different types of sialography is evaluated.
