Of the various methods of vegetative propagation in common employment, that by cuttings is at once the cheapest and easiest. Because of a growing belief that all plants can be propagated by means of cuttings, given proper conditions, recent researches have been directed towards determining the optimum conditions conducive to this type of reproduction.
