According to the Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), a data architecture describes an organization’s overall logical and physical design of its data entities and data management resources. The models, policies, rules, and standards that control the gathering, storing, arranging, integrating, and use of data are a subset of enterprise architecture. Data architects are responsible for an organization’s data architecture.
