A Priori Christology and Experience

Abstract If anything can be said to be ‘Christian doctrine’, it is Christology; and so ‘the making and remaking of Christian doctrine’ must at least mean, whatever else it means, the making and remaking of doctrine about Christ. More broadly, it must mean the making and remaking of doctrine about Jesus who is said to be the Christ, as well as any number of other things that are functionally equivalent to ‘the Christ’ and interchangeable with it.
