Abstract
Abstract Galvanic cell—A device able to turn chemical energy into electrical energy. The first galvanic cell, demonstrated by Volta in 1800, was made by piling up alternate copper and zinc sheets separated by cloth dipped in acid. It is possible to construct a galvanic cell around any redox reaction separated into two half-reactions.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
