Abstract
A loaboratory setup for measuring the distribution of the electromagnetic force acting in a cylindrical PM synchronous motor is presented. The force is measured with use of a tensometric beam. The microprocessor-controlled positioning system consists of a rotary stepper motor and a linear screw transforming rotary motion into linear motion. Two cases are considered: a linear screw made of steel and a linear screw made of nylon. The most important objective of the article is to compare the measurement results obtained for these two cases.
