Abstract

Abstract The state-of-the-art research in the field of laser thermonuclear fusion, aimed at initiating controlled inertial confinement fusion, and the progress in high energy density physics achieved both directly in studies on laser fusion and in adjacent fields related to the high-power laser matter interaction are discussed.
