S. fimbriata has greater moisture content, protein, carbohydrate, and fibers, whereas S. longiceps have more lipid and ash content. Sardinella species has f 19 amino acids. Eight essential minerals are present in greater amounts in S. Longiceps. S. longiceps has six vitamins, but S. fimbriata has only five. The findings of this study extend our knowledge of the nutritional value of commonly consumed sardine fishes. Regular consumption of sardines could considerably reduce nutritional deficiency
