Abstract

Military technical equipment is a complex system, including many mechanics, electrics, electronics systems and items that must operate in complex, harsh conditions and require high reliability, availability, maintainability and repairability, etc., in which reliability is the most critical factor. The reliability of items and systems is evaluated by some reliability indicators involving reliability probability, failure rate, etc., and remaining useful time is one of the significant indicators to specify the maintenance and repair moment implementation of objects. Evaluating this criterion is a problematic issue requiring a unified theory, equipment, specialist expertise, etc. However, the development of mathematics completely helps to assess and determine them through researching system and device reliability with many advantages and low costs. This paper presents a brief review of the remaining useful life of military-technical equipment and analysis the commonly used methods to determine it. From that, pointing to some problems need further research in the area of “Estimating and predicting reliability parameters”.
