Abstract
Development of a 0.34THz traveling-wave tube is described in this paper. This device consists of folded waveguide slow wave structure with modified circular bends, Pierce-style electron gun, and periodical permanent magnet. It has achieved over 6W of output power at 0.334THz with the corresponding device gain over 39dB, and at the same time, it can also provide 3W with 10GHz when the voltage is 19kV and the beam current is 25mA.
