Leadership is a skill or trait that is used to bring people together and lead them towards a specific goal.Dec. Leadership is studied and defined by many different theories and models of leadership with different styles and approaches. Leadership approaches are theoretical frameworks used when studying leadership, and they offer different perspectives to explain leadership. The characteristics approach is a leadership approach that bases leadership on a set of personal characteristics and qualities. According to this approach, it is thought that it is necessary to have certain characteristics and qualities in order to be a leader. Behavioral leadership claims that leadership is a series of behaviors and that these behaviors are decisive on the influence of the leader. Behavioral leadership requires the leader to exhibit different behaviors in order to understand the needs of team members, motivate and guide them. The situational approach is a leadership approach that tries to explain leadership by using the appropriate leadership style for a particular situation. According to this approach, the effectiveness of leadership argues that the leadership style that the leader should use depends on the situation that the leader is facing and the leadership styles required by this situation. The situational approach focuses on three main characteristics of leadership situations: the competence level of team members, the motivation level of team members, and the structure of the leadership situation. These characteristics are used to determine which leadership style the leader should use. Key Words: Educational Management, Leadership, New Leadership Approaches
