Abstract
SummaryThis work is the taxonomical study of the sixteen species that form the phyletic series of Siagona cyclobasis Chaudoir in Africa.The identification key is followed by the diagnoses of the already known species and of the six species here described: S. partita (type locality: Chemba, Mozambique), S. elegantula (type locality: Oshikango, Namibie), S. rubra (type locality: Lealui, Zambie), S. sinuata (type locality: Ankoro-Mulongo, Zaïre), S. signaticolla (type locality: Nama-Ula, Zambie), S. ustulata (type locality: Ruzizi river, Burundi).For each species, collecting sites are indicated.The Malagasy species S. hovana Fairmaire has been included in this study.
