Abstract
This paper presents, a novel structure single-phase multilevel inverter with altered carrier pulse width modulation technique. The architecture that has been suggested provides access to a wide range of voltage levels whilst making use of a least quantity of power switches and supply sources. As a result, the complexities and expense of the inverter decrease. In addition, a novel altered carrier pulse width modulation method is proposed to augment voltage quality and improving overall harmonic spectra. The performance and feasibility of proposed inverter configuration with PWM technique for nine level inverter have been confirmed through the use of MATLAB simulations and experimental data.
