Abstract

The world's population is rising daily, while the use of cars is metro expanding and this leads to the cities becoming more crowded. So car parking management is one of the main challenges for cities. In the past few years, a lot of research was conducted on how to improve the parking system and this attracted lots of researchers to research and release their unique ideas to improve the parking system to the current needs. The main problem of the current parking system is finding a particular vacant parking space in the largest parking area. As a result, this research introduced an “Advanced car parking system” that uses an Arduino Uno and mobile applications via the Internet of Things (IoT). This system aids drivers in locating and parking their vehicles in specific vacant spaces. Even before entering the parking area, the drivers can easily identify if any parking slot is available or not.
