Abstract
Collector is one of the important components of the traveling wave tube (TWT), and its function is to recover waste electrons. For the purpose of improving the efficiency of traveling wave tube, multistage depressed collector (MDC) is often used in the design process. In this paper, we analyzed the waste electronic information after the beam wave interaction of 340GHz TWT, and designed a three-stage symmetrical depressed collector, which achieved 75% recovery efficiency and 0.64% reflux rate.
