Abstract

The study analysed heavy metal contents in the lagoon and its fishes, and used that to calculate the ecological risk associated with heavy metals within the lagoon environment as well as bioaccumulation of the metals within the fishes. The study found out that the lagoon is polluted with heavy metals, there was no incidence of bioaccumulation of heavy metals in the fish.
